Rich Okun has extensive background in Financial Services, with over 15 years in the payments industry. Rich Okun, was VP of IPP, responsible for Operations and Sales. Mr. Okun founded and led, as Chairman and CEO, Engyro, a metering, billing and payment company which was sold to Microsoft Corp. Mr. Okun was President of American Payment Systems. Under Mr. Okun’s leadership, APS grew to be the largest provider for Utility in-person payment services and was later acquired by Checkfree.
Earlier Mr. Okun was a founder and Executive VP of JWP Credit Corporation, which grew to over $100 Million in annual leasing sales to the Fortune 100 Companies. Previous to JWP, Rich was Vice President of Computerland of Connecticut and Western Mass’s (a 12 store chain which was the largest Computerland franchise) services division which included, Comprehend (a computer training company), Computerland Service, Rush Computer Rentals, and MicroFunding. He is also a gifted sculptor, whose work is in private collections as well as in museums.
Rich was a Captain in the USAF, flying jets (C 141) for the US Air Force (1974-1981) and graduated Syracuse University with a BS, BA and JD from Syracuse University 1969-1974.
Rich resides in Connecticut.
