The human voice can create intentional tones that can touch our deepest being and bring us into physical, emotional, and spiritual balance, in a way that words cannot. The practice of MediSounds can produce a sense of calm, a stillness even in the midst of chaos.
MediSounds consists of ten vocal tones, rooted in the mysteries of the Tree of Life—an ancient symbol understood by mystics across traditions as a blueprint for human ascent into a more inclusive, embracing consciousness.
Each sound is vocalized naturally through the throat and gently directed toward one of eight of the Tree’s ten energy centers.
(This is a distinct system and should not be confused with the chakra model.)
These vibrations work wordlessly. They educate and soothe the organs, lift and balance the spirit, and restore vitality.
Intentional sounding can ease physical discomfort, cultivate compassion, and support emotional well-being. It can clarify decision-making, improve communication, and steady the nervous system. Practiced once or twice daily, morning and evening, it does not interrupt ordinary life; rather, it quietly supports it.
Vibration reaches where language cannot go, beyond affirmation, beyond psychology, beyond the limits of thought. With consistent practice, the mind grows quieter, and something essential in us is restored.
For those who wish to explore this work more deeply, I write about these practices in Kabbalah of Prayer: Sacred Sounds and the Soul’s Journey available on this website by clicking on the books-cds tab found at the top of this page.
